Background Information:
Tang was an Executive Director of Sino Prosper Holdings Limited (currently renamed as Sino Prosper (Group) Holdings Limited, HK listed stock code 766) until 21 February 2008.
Tang is currently under a warrant of arrest issued on 5 November 2009 in connection with suspected insider dealing. It was alleged that Tang used a nominee account to conduct securities dealings in the shares of China Sci-Tech Holdings Limited (now renamed as CST Group Limited, HK listed stock code 985) from 16 to 28 May 2007 whilst in possession of non-public price sensitive information on China Sci-Tech.
The warrant of arrest was issued against Tang for his failure in answering summonses pending committal proceedings for transferring the case to the District Court for trial on 9 September 2009.
