Senior Manager - Enforcement (Policy & International Team)

This position provides a challenging and interesting job opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of enforcement-related regulatory initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • liaising with regulatory agencies outside Hong Kong to exchange information for enforcement purposes strictly in accordance with the SFO and internal procedures,
  • conducting investigations to secure evidence for these agencies under the IOSCO MMoU/EMMoU framework,
  • nurturing constructive and professional relationships with these agencies,
  • negotiating cooperation agreements or MoUs with other governmental and regulatory agencies,
  • drafting and maintaining internal manuals, guidance and procedures for the Enforcement Division, and
  • supporting the Commission’s policy projects, international initiatives and organising related events and functions.

Requirements:

You will be a law enforcement, compliance or legal professional with at least 8 years’ experience of working in a law enforcement/regulatory authority, a law firm, and/or a major financial institution. You should have excellent language and analytical skills and be able to present your thoughts methodically and with impact. You will also have the initiative to move outside your comfort zone to learn and develop new skills. An excellent command of both Chinese and English is a distinct advantage. Prior experience in litigation, cross-jurisdictional law enforcement, online fraud prevention and fluency in Putonghua are added advantages.
