Duties and responsibility:
This is an opportunity for someone with corporate communications, public relations or market development background, who has a reasonable understanding of the financial markets, to help promote the SFC’s initiatives, engage the SFC’s stakeholders, heighten public understanding of the organisation’s work and build its reputation as a globally respected and influential regulator.
Reporting to an Associate Director or Senior Manager, your primary responsibilities would include:
- Establishing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and developing strategies to effectively engage them in pursuit of the SFC’s objectives.
- Organising corporate events for stakeholders engagement.
- Assisting with preparing speeches, articles, lines-to-take and other communications for senior management as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum eight years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations or market development, preferably in the financial industry or the public sector.
- General knowledge of Hong Kong’s financial market and its regulatory framework for the financial services industry.
- Excellent communication skills, including a strong command of written English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an added advantage.
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
- A good team player, well-organised and able to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
