Manager - Supervision of Markets (Market Analysis)

Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join the Commission’s professional team in the Supervision of Markets Division. If you have good knowledge of the securities and derivatives markets in Hong Kong, Mainland China and other major markets, this position will give you the opportunity to conduct market analysis with an eye on potential risks to market stability and on the opportunities for market development.

You will be responsible for conducting research and monitoring the securities and derivatives markets in Hong Kong, the Mainland and major overseas markets. You will also have the opportunity to monitor developments in the international capital markets, and provide analytic support to policy and operational work of the Division.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess a university degree in Economics or Finance with at least 5 years of research experience, and competency in conducting policy and regulatory research. You must have excellent analytical, quantitative and writing skills, and extensive knowledge in the securities and derivatives markets in Hong Kong, Mainland and other major markets. You should be an active team player with a high initiative. You should also possess strong presentation and communication skills. An excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English is required, with proficiency in Putonghua. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.
